How should you face an interview for the first time?

Congratulations on moving up to the interview stage. You have successfully earned your best opportunity to convince your future employer.

There's always a first time for everything and these few points would surely help you tide over your first interview

1. Research the company by going through its website, calling up people you might know etc.

2. Understand what your job profile is going to be and align your pitch accordingly. Avoid generalization.

3. Have a clear answer about why this profile excites you. Its hard to fake enthusiasm. If this job doesn't excite you much, you shouldn't even apply.

4. Tell them why you think you are the best fit for this job ( What's In It For Them)

5. Plan,Prepare and Practice your introduction really well. Well begun is half done. ( Fake it till you make it)

6. Add warmth to the interview process by smiling appropriately. It's hard not like someone who smiles at you.

Last but not the least, this is only one job interview. There are 'n' number of options available out there. Focus on enjoying the process and DO NOT obsess over the outcome. All the best !
