There is no IDP exam. It is just an alternate to British Council conducting IELTS exam. Students aspiring for IELTS exam can enroll for exam through British Council or IDP.

IDP and British Council are two service providers for IELTS. British Council being UK based and IDP being Australia based. No difference in the test pattern or difficulty level.

Don't panic. IELTS is one , PTE is one , TOEFL is one. only the service provider are different for ielts like IDP and British Council , Bare is mind , root is one.

There is no difference between IDP exams and British council (IELTS) exams. These two organizations conduct exams in different countries and at times you get a same question paper as well.
