It’s more about communication skills rather than job proficiency so sitting for IELTS may be needed to get a visa but it does not guarantee a job. For that you’ll have to go through the whole process of finding, applying and attending interviews. read less

First, students who want to study in English speaking countries need to clear this exam to secure admissions in universities in those countries. Second, working professionals who want to migrate to countries like Australia and Canada for the purpose of job or for settling permanently need to clear this exam.
