Yes. Only pencils are allowed in the IELTS Writing task.

Hi Aditya, MIT doesn't accept IELTS score for the undergraduate admissions, but for graduate and doctorate courses IELTS is considered. IELTS band 7.5 would be considered a good score. Thanks.
