0To get a good band in writing I am listing few important things which a test taker hs to keep in mind.
1.Adhere strictly to the lower word limit
2.Do not deviate from the topic
3.Do not repeat ideas
4.Make a good essay plan before starting to write the actual essay,this results in good coherence(logical flow of ideas)
5.Use connecting words as these add to your marks
6.When adding points use furthermore,moreover,firstly,secondly,finally,thus,hence,therefore,conclude and summarize.Use them effectively don't overuse
7.You should have a wide range of good vocabulary words in your dictionary. A very important thing to note down here is the correct use of vocabulary,if u don't know the meaning don't use that word
8.Usage of correct grammar which includes punctuation,tenses,pasts of speech,active and passive voice
9.Spellings should be correct else marks will be deducted
10.If you writing a PBT a good hand writing is a must
11.If you opting for a CBT good typing skills is essential
12.Dedicate last 5 mts for proof reading, you don't want to loose marks for some grammar error or spelling mistake which you did in a hurry
