Ideally, one month preparation is enough for cracking the IELTS exam for candidates who are comfortable communicating in English. For those who are highly proficient, it is only a matter of understanding the test pattern and attempting a few mock tests which can be done in one to two weeks. However, if the candidate is not comfortable with English, it may take 2 to 3 months to get a desirable band. It is sometimes suggestible that a student at beginner level takes a Spoken English course for a month and then take up IELTS coaching to see better results. read less
