Had attended almost 15 classes. It was one of the best learning experiences I had. He had good control on the subject to teach the basics without swaying too much to a layman like me. We now have a very good rapport, we might have started as a teacher student but now I would like to look at the relation more like a fellow music enthusiast and a companion. If you are looking for anything related to learning the basics or advanced in Hindustani or Rabindrasangeet, he's the person to go to. Really had one of a kind experience as I was completely un- introduced to any sort of music when I started and an amateur in every way possible to the language and the notations, but the kind of passion he had to teach made me learn more faster. With the basics, he could also introduce me to many categories and almost all the forms of Hindustani alive with great references to many legendary artists. We had gone through the works of the likes of Bade Ghulam Ali Khan sahab, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan to a little more contemporary Kaushiki Chakraborty and lot others. I really owe a lot to those weekends I could rush up to his place and to Urbanpro and the teacher for getting me where I am in starting out to tune my own passions. In an age where much of what was valued and held divine is getting lost, I think people like him give the resilience we need.
