For Spoken English content, It is better to have a teaching plan. Then the content can be worked upon. Identify the best way to explain the content. Think from the students point of view. Always the learning happens at the students level, while the teaching happens at the Teachers level. Think about the outcome expected from the session. Finally, prepare simple content which will be effective, easy to understand, and the student is able to solve his problem.
Hope this helps.

Some of the books I find particularly useful while teaching spoken English are:
1. Habit of Winning — Prakash Iyer
2. The Secret of Leadership — Prakash Iyer
I particularly like these books because they use simple, easy-to-understand English and short, engaging stories. This makes them useful for learners who are trying to improve not only their vocabulary and comprehension, but also their confidence in using English.
I often use stories and discussions from such books to encourage students to read aloud, express their opinions, summarize a story and speak about their experiences. This turns reading material into an opportunity for practical speaking practice.
For spoken English, I believe that regular speaking practice is more important than simply studying grammar or vocabulary.
Hope this helps!
