Because professional play in a way they make it look easy. Its not people's fault in India lot of people don't have knowledge about this subject and very less good teachers are available to the public.

It's impossible. If you are fully dedicated even then it will take probably 3-5 months to clear your basics. You have to give minimum 6 months if you want to clear you basic stuff and minimum 1 year if want to play decently.

Old strings (dead strings) tend to be more stable and consistent in tone. Though eventually they do get played out and won't stay in tune and lose tone. Some prefer the sound (even seasoned pros).
