Finger picking actually came from the classical music style which was basically generated in Spain , the modern way of guitar playing is big different from the Spanish playing which includes playing with a platform. While playing with a pick it always reduces your efforts on your right hand. Because for the right hand you have to practice centre stuff and make your hand ready to play proper piece of music. Which is a different challenge on it itself. read less
