There are a number of big brands, but depends on what suits you the best. I use D Addario strings for both my Electric and Acoustic. Ernie Ball is also of fine quality.

In my opinion Ernie Ball provides the best strings be it for an acoustic or electric guitar. Once you try it you will really like the bright warm long lasting tone it offers. Many great legends like Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Slash, Mark Knopler, etc have used these strings through out their career. You'll find a range of strings by this brand. Strings with different gauge size like 0.09 which are extra light, 0.10 which are light and 0.11 which are hard and heavy, depending on your preference to the touch and feel of playing the guitar. Material coating also matters as in if you go for nickel plated strings these are deep and warm toned strings and cobalt coating provides a very bright, distinctive and crisp tone. I'd suggest to go for nickel wounded strings as they are economical and more durable then cobalt coating strings. And also that their sound suits good in a lot of genres like blues, rock, pop, jazz. read less
