What is the difference between acoustic and electric guitar?

An Acoustic guitar doesnt require any electric connection to generate the sound. You can play it without any power or batteries. The electric guitar requires a power unit ( Electricity or Battery unit) to generate the sound and amplify it as an output.

The most basic and important difference is that, the acoustic guitar produces sound naturally whereas for electric guitar you need to connect it to an amplifier to hear it properly. There are many other technical differences, which you understand only once you play both of them
