More than anything , both sounds are different to each other. That's the prior difference.

Electric guitar needs electricity to to pass the output and you can attach an amplifier. Acoustic guitar doesn't. There are semi electric acoustic guitars which you can plug to amp or play without electric

Acoustic guitars are hollow body so do not require any additional equipment while electric guitars need power and amps to produce any music. 2. The style of music played on electric and acoustic guitars is very different — acoustic guitars are associated with “mellow” music like folk and country, while electric guitars are used for metal and rock music. read less

Both are diff in class of sound...manufacturing.... style of playing....and of course ..electric guitar needs to plug in with its amp to play and audible but for Acoustic thr is no such issue.
