Should I learn acoustic guitar or electric guitar first?

I would suggest you to start with acoustic guitar. Firstly it will be budget friendly for you as you need only guitar and nothing else. I would suggest you to start with acoustic guitar. Firstly it will be budget friendly for you as you need only guitar and nothing else. But in case of electric guitar, you have to buy an amplifier as well along with your guitar because you will get the sound only thought amplifier. Yes one plus point to start with electric guitar that it will be easy to press notes on electric guitars as compare to acoustic guitars. But if you start with acoustic guitar then it will be much is for you to switch to electric guitar. But if you start with electric one than you find it hard to play acoustic guitar. Guitar Tutor with 15 years Experience

It doesnt really matter but for a new beginner i would say try to get a classical guitar with nylon strings as they are a bit softer on the finger tips when starting out.
