You learn when you are comfortable.

Totally worth it... Picking up a hobby is the best you can do to yourself... Music has a therapeutic effect on everyone... Plus... Everyone loves a person who can play a guitar.

Well, to be a versatile musician, you need to try a hand at all forms. But then play what makes you comfortable. Like if you see slash, he's a rock guitarist but then he's played blues with bb king as well. I hope this helps
