No. You can get a allen key and fix the high action very easily. or you can go the nearest guitar store. high action is frustrating and can take all your interest away from the guitar.

It surely prepares you for a tough times. When you play a guitar with less action after that, things will seem relatively effortless to you.

DEPENDS, If you have an electric guitar higher action gives you better tone and texture.Acoustic guitars should be on sustainable action as it is only going to hurt your fingers. While adjusting the action of your guitar seek professional help.

With Regular practice and a Good instructor, in 2 Months time, you can start playing guitar pretty well !!! Its a bit difficult and tiresome. But, Do not give up !

Yes, Why not ? You can learn through tutorial vedio but you can not learn so many things without having teacher like there are many technics.
