If I want to play in a band as a guitarist, what are the requirements?

the only requirement is that you should know how to play the guitar. if it's checked you are good to go :)

Hi Mridulika , It depends on what style of music you want to play, How many members in the band etc. Typically a band would have drums, rhythm guitar, vocals,lead guitar and bass however there is no fixed rule. If you are a beginner and if can strum chords then you could fit in as a rhythm guitarist. Watch few bands playing and try to make out who is playing what.
