Here are my few tips on guitar lessons for beginners.

1. Learn how to hold guitar, knowing names and parts of guitar. Names of strings

2. Easy chromatic exercise( 1234 ) 

3. Ascending And descending finger exercise ( eg. 1243/ 1324)

4. Understanding fretboard and learning notes from 5&6 strings.

5. Learning how to read chord charts

6. Learning how to count beats with metronome

7.Learning basic strumming 

      (eg. 1234 / 1&2&3&4&)

Playing open chords Open chords are one of the first skills a beginner guitarist will learn. Master just three, and you can play a whole host of popular songs. Aside from attending guitar lessons, following a chord chart is one of the best ways to get acquainted with the basics.

Hi Manoj, Anyone can learn guitar with constant practise. Time required for learning guitar depends on individual effort and practise, on average you can learn from 6 to 12 months time.

It is possible to learn guitar online through video calling apps like skype or hangout but honestly if you want to learn the feel of music by someone, i suggest to learn in front of your teacher.
