Many B-Schools have started accepting the GRE scores. And the GRE new format (after August 2011) tests you on several measures which were found only in GMAT. One thing is, the Critical Reasoning Section. Now in the GRE, you will have questions involving critical reasoning, though these are not as difficult as those found in the GMAT. Answer to Q.2 It is better to continue MS immediately after your UG. Since you are going to specialize in the area of your interest a break is not advisable. In case you are going to pursue MBA, then experience becomes necessary.
