Is Goethe any good? I’m studying German at university and I'm in the middle of choosing my subjects for the next year. One option is Goethe.

At university you may also need to study literature depending on which level of German you are in. At Goethe you learn more of business as well as colloquial language and more emphasis given on Speaking compare to writing. All the best! read less

Goethe is most popular. You can look for some contemporary authors, if you want to do something new. Otherwise Goethe, Schiller are classic.
