Minimum of atleast 3 months you need to prepare for GATE. But it varies from student to student.

Its all depend on your capability. However, 6 to 9 months of sincere preparation would be optimum time period for GATE preparation

Tutor for All Electronics & Communication Subjects

10 days required for one subject preparation at least, if we consider book from Schaum series. So if there are 8 subjects, a student need at least 80-100 days.
