Hi I want to gain knowledge in RCC structures, estimation and costing, I do not have degree in civil but I deal in real estate so if anyone can provide this would be appreciated. I do have basic understanding of RCC and structure steel

RCC structure is the concrete structure reinforced by steel twisted rod. It is composite material. As it made by mixing of cement, stone chips, sand in perticular ratio and water. The rod diameter rod lay out depend upon the static load(No movemnt load, generally total weight), dynamic load(If there is moving object), soil strength, nature of soil. Basically tmt rod improve the elastisity of the structure. For costing there are two parts:- material cost, convertion cost Under material cost per unit volume(cubic meter or cubic feet):- Quantity of cement consumed. Quantity of sand. Quantity of stone chips. Quantity of water. Quantity of epoxy if used. From the above quantity just get the price and sum it. It will be total material cost. Under convertion cost per unit volume(Cubic meter or cubic feet, but same unit need to be used as above for material cost):- Labour cost:- Per hour labour rate X Total labour hour. Fuel cost:- Per hour fuel consumption X Total hour for mixing. If premix then the transport charges and materila handling charges. Sum all the above convertion costs. Then do the grand total. That will be the RCC cost of per unit. read less
