It actually depends how dedicated he/she is involved in the practise. But basically it will at least 6 months for a person to understand the drumming concept and to properly handle the sticks along with the understanding of basic lessons.

I will go for 1 year provided one is keen to learn and does regular practice. But like anything in life, one keeps learning all the life and getting better and better at it.

Hi Shubham. It depends on how much practice you can put in, your musical aptitude, among other things. Roughly, it should take you 2-4 months for mastering the basics.
