Drums, Rhythm Pad, Cajon Trainer with 15 years of experience

There is no end. We can keep on learning. Even the most professional drummer in the world mention them as still beginners and every time they sit on a drum kit, they still learn new stuff. But if you put some serious effort, you can be a professional in it.

There is no rocket signs. More you practice more you gain. Technique is more important in Drums. So, to be a proficient drummer, it could be 8months or 1year depending on your practice

To learn Drums & to be at a proficient level, this will take you around 2 to 3 yrs if you are a beginner. I would advise a need of the guidance of an experienced Tutor and have a consistent practice.

If it is to play several songs, you can do it easily in 6 months after the basic movements around the drums are smooth, but if you see a proficient player as the one who can play any song without much difficulty, that takes time. It's not only to know how to play but also what to play and when. One needs to understand the flow of the whole music rather than just focussing on your instrument.
