Ofcourse..there is serious benefit only when the child takes it seriously...the child gets to learn the new tricks which are actually required to solve IIT based questions or even the competitive exam questions in a limited time period......But one cannot rule out the importance of chem ncert book if one has to score 100 in boards..clear understanding will come when the student attends classes,,takes the concept clearly and practises on his/hr own..one can also do without coaching but that will definitely put a lot of pressure on the student regarding the right method of preparation,timely revision of course and practise..
A gud teacher and a gud coaching does make it a bit easier but ultimately it depends on the student( if he can handle the mammoth syllabus on his/her own)..thats is why families go for coaching centres( flr iit jee prel or com prep) and board exm preparation teachers..
