Dear Yashaswini,
Firstly what form of dance you want to learn ? If its classical form, then read on.....
I started learning Bharathanatyam when i was about 7, trained in the form for about 12 years then took a break due to education and then marriage ...followed by pregnancy blah blah ... now for past couple years restarted my dance training in a totally different technique Odissi, at the age of 42 ... so i speak from my experience ok... Its NEVER too late to start at 25. Please plunge into it with all your heart and enjoy it.
Its important for you to be sure of where you want to get to. Do you want to become a professional dancer? performer. or a dance teacher? or want to dance just for pure joy of dancing.
If you want to be a professional dancer/teacher , then you need to follow the three Ds.. devotion, dedication and determination...spend more quality time training and rehearsing along with body conditioning. Finding a good teacher is the key.
Hope you take your interest seriously and dance for the pure joy of dancing ... who knows where it will take you :))
Best wishes and warm regards,
Shanthi.
