If you are a very determined hard working disciple. And you also get a good teacher on time. So you can learn some basics of Kathak dance very well. 6 months is a very short time like 1 second in 1 day.

To learn Kathak at a beginner level, it may take around 6 + months according to your capability of regular practice to be able to perform basic steps and movements and understand the rhythm and the music.
