Kathak originated from northern india from nomadic groups which are called storytellers or kathakars. So kathak is more influenced with Indian methodological rituals

it is a north indian dance style.having many gharanas(zonal style) like jaipur gharana,lukhnow gharana,banaras gharana etc.
