No it is not possible to change directly from state to IB board for Class 12. Yes it is worth changing to IB board as the international board offers better education when compared to state or CBSE board. All the best for your career!

For 12th preference should be state other CBSE board. In 12th we should not go for IB because it requires time to get familiar with IB. Right now stay in state or CBSE.
