In the dark, retinal of rhodopsin is in 11-cis form. When rhodopsin is exposed to light, 11-cis retinal undergoes a series of photochemical reactions that converts it to all trans retinal and release of all trans retinal and opsin. Birds lack Rod cell. Because the lens of our eyes detect images from a distance.If the object is very close the lens will not be able to reflect its image in the brain and it will not be seen
