covex lens concentrate the sun rays onto a small area, which heats up the area, then the exposed surface will ignited, {it is a converging lengs, that is it will converge the rays falling on it into single strong beam.

Hydrogen gas is produced. Fe + h2so4----> feSO4 + h2O Here fe is oxidised into fe2+ by h+ and the SO4^2- ion does not play any role in this reaction. You can replace the h2SO4 by hCl.
