(वृद्धिरेचि)— यदि 'अ' या 'आ' के बाद 'ए' या 'ऐ' आए
तो दोनों के स्‍थान पर 'ऐ' एकादेश हो जाता है। इसी तरह 'अ' या 'आ' के
बाद 'ओ' या 'औ' आए तो दोनों के स्‍थान पर 'औ' एकादेश हो जाता है।
अ/आ + ए/ऐ = ऐ
उदाहरण—
मम + एव = ममैव
एक + एकम् = एकै कम्
तव + एव = तवैव
