0DNA ( deoxyribonucleic acid) is a genetic material .it is transferred from generation to generation ( from parents to their offspring). It contains genes. These genes are inherited to the child and expressed in offsprings and to show genotype( genetic makeup ) and phenotype( physical Characters of an organism that we can see). E.g. A mother has brown eye colour than eye colour of her newborn baby will be brown because the baby got that gene of a brown eye from mother. ( it is called inheritance of DNA or gene)
