"My daughter Ananya Ranganayaki has been learning Carnatic music from Guru Smt Bhagyalakshmi Suresh for the past ten years. She started with her basic lessons and at present she is been given advance training in Carnatic music. My daughter has been giving solo concert under her guidance. Smt. Bhagyalakshmi is a very dedicated guru. Her style of teaching is unique and percolate deep in students and also widely appreciated by Carnatic music fraternity. Apart from Carnatic music my daughter is also been trained in Namasankeertanam and bhajans under her guru. She has also been trained to giving thematic presentation. Recently Ganapriya school of music students participated and they were one of the finalist in Bhajan samrat juniors season 3 conducted by Sankara TV . We are extremely fortunate and blessed to be under her tutelage as the the seed she has sown in my daughter is blossoming bright and shine. "

"Ganapriya school of music is awesome and our Bagya mam is an excellent teacher, she teaches lots of variety of songs like Abang, kreethis, Vedic chanting,astapathis, Tamil devotional songs,varnam,other language songs etc. It's pleasure going to different competition with ease due to learning variety of songs from her. We get lot of opportunities to sing at a younger age. Totally a great place to learn music and getting recognized. My daughter has got many recognisation because of her variety of songs. Ultimate place for exposure. "

"My daughter is blessed to learn music from Ganapriya school of Music under Guru Smt. Bagyalakshmi Suresh. She has taught Keerrthanam, namasankeerthanam, varnam, bhajans etc. She teaches songs with utmost patience and care till the child understands the concept. My daughter is learning group singing but our guru makes it sure that each child sings the song individually and render it as expected (meaning so much of individual attention is given to each child who attends her class). "

"My daughter goes to Ganapriya for past 7 years and her knowledge and love for music grows everyday. Bagyalakshmi ma'am is a true Guru in all its senses. She inculcates culture,values,discipline and devotion, amongst others things in her students. Her care and love for her students runs deep and the children are also very bonded to her. Ganapriya is part of our lives and may it grow manifolds to encompass more students in its folds ,to not let our beautiful culture of Carnatic music and bhajans be wiped out by the onslaught of western pop music and the inevitable foreign culture that it invites into our Indian homes. "My sister and I joined Ganapriya School of Music in 2016, the year we moved to Chennai. Our Guru, Smt. Bhagyalakshmi Suresh, has trained us Carnatic Music, Devotional Songs, Namasankeertanam and Bhajans. Ever since I began taking lessons from here, I was floored by her dedication and devotion to God, Music and teaching. Her sincerity is truely remarkable. She not only welcomes doubts but also clarifies them whole-heartedly, she feels extremely happy when we ask her doubts. Whenever she teaches us a new song, she explains the meaning of it or tells us a brief narration about how the song was composed. Every class has been a treat for us, something we look forward to! We are proud and blessed to be her students. "

Carnatic Music Classes

"Me and my son have been fortunate to learn music from Mrs Bhagyalakshmi Suresh. We learn through online Skype classes and in the short stint of 4-5 months that we have been learning I can clearly see the dedication and love for music from our guru. Her nuances in teaching bhajans/kritis and her attention to details in our singing impresses me the most. "

"-Our music school is like our own home -Our guru is versatile ---She handles varieties from core classical ,Bhajans, Abhangs and thematic presentations which needs references from our literature -We can see her dedication in training the children to sing harmoniously -she has amazing capabilities of setting tunes to pasurams and tirumurai poems and abhangs -our children have rendered these in stage performances including Krishna Gana Sabha, TTD, Vanimahal and many temples -Her creativity is selection and rendering of viruthams is phenomenal and it gives a life to the bhajan or krithi followed I look forward for more thematic presentations like Joy of Music - Garland of Thillanas and Melakartha Ragas Presentation which she has already presented in many Sabhas "

"Our Guru has no petty qualities. As a Guru, she always gave the credit to the talent of her students with the words: “I have not done anything but to impart what I learnt from my Gurus. You have been recognized because of your talent and hard work”. I am filled with gratitude because without her encouragement and commitment I would have never been able to do stage performances which is like an examination as there is no scope for corrections. There is often so much to learn I feel like I have not even scratched the surface only touched it. I feel truly blessed that I could learn music under her tutelage as I believe that in order to truly understand music you must devote your life to it and our Guru is one standing example for it. "

"Pranams! Ganapriya School of Music is a wonderful world where our daughter is learning singing. She has been learning for the last 4 years or so and we have seen her blossom from a shy bud to a lovely little flower. The reason behind this transition is the environment created by the wonderful Guru Smt. Bhagyalakshmi Suresh and her adorable sishyas. The children have total faith and respect for the Guru and this is based not on strict discipline only, but out of sheer love instilled in them by their Teacher. They have participated in many competitions and won accolades for their performances; but beyond the idea of competing, their Guru has instilled the love of learning and singing, which shines through each of the singers of their group. The repertoire of songs the children have learnt is phenomenal; from simple Bhajans to elaborate ragamaalika based Sundara Kandam, soul stirring namavalis to selected Tamil verses from Panniru Thirumurai, it has been a wonderful journey of music, love, devotion, which will be with the children and their parents, and to those who listen, for a very long time. "

"I've been learning from aunty for the past 2 years, and honestly, it doesn't feel that way. She's always encouraging, and forgiving to a fault, ever ready to correct my mistakes and help. Class time flies by, and it's time to close up for the week. I take classes on skype once a week, mostly on Sundays. She teaches me things that are completely new and different, and it's a challenge to learn them. The best thing about her is that she never seems to get annoyed when I make mistakes. She just teaches me again, patiently.Class is fun, and it doesn't feel like a typical learning school. It's awesome to learn, and I'm glad and honoured to be her student. "
