Academy of Indian Music and Arts , regd is a non-profit charitable trust founded by the multi faceted musical legend and visionary Padmabhushan Sangita Kalanidhi Dr. T.V.Gopalakrishnan in 1984 to uphold and propagate the glorious Indian music, arts and heritage .
Its main 5 pillar objectives are: Preservation, Project oriented research,professional Education,Propagation,Protection and help for the needy musicians.
WHY TVG AIMA ??
There are multitude of multitalented children and adults who are willing to shine themselves in fine arts, given an opportunity. What they need, is an environment where they can shine and blossom, a team who will believe in them and invest in their future. TVGAIMA is a place where they bloom and shine in an environment of art culture and love without any pressure of targets or judgements.

Our strategies include revitalizing traditional music pedagogy in contemporary forms; developing, testing and disseminating new teaching and learning methodologies and curriculum materials; organizing teacher training workshops; and providing opportunities for talented AIMAites to create and perform new music that is at once rooted in tradition yet not constrained by it.

We at TVG AIMA, desire to give them the arena to do what they are best at and realise their potential from the best of teachers who are guided and trained by Guruji TVG himself.

Dance teacher Amritha was very rude to my child ,she is a new teacher. She will take only 15 mins class and send outside to practice in mosquitoes,the director "Devie Neithiyar"will say mosquitoes are common in chennai and don't be so emotional towards your kid. She added if you don't want your kid to dance outside she will simply sit inside the class watching next batch dancing,we are charged for 1 hour but the class will be 15 mins. Full marks of mosquitoes for my kid. If I ask the teacher is lying and saying she only went outside without her knowledge.The director was very arrogant and in a meeting Amritha went in the middle of the meeting saying she will not teach for my daughter .everything happened in front of my kid (6yrs).We are from UK and we don't know much about this academy so please Beware parents. Please don't send your kids and spoil their passion. Very important thing is Amritha saying in every corner dance class is there like Tea shops put there .All Devie Neiythiyar the useless director watching and supporting her. Gayathri will be there in the front office please don't talk with her she will talk rubbish and don't know how to talk to a parent. Please don't put your child here.
