Normally B natural or C natural are suggested to start with but G# is suggested once you finish Alan karas

G is easy to blow and get a good clear sound, if you are a beginner. The lower pitches like B, C will need more force for blowing, and the beginners can also get discouraged as more 'woofy' sound may come instead of a musical note, when you blow. I would recommend G.
