An inline function is one for which the compiler copies the code from the function definition directly into the code of the calling function rather than creating a separate set of instructions in memory. Instead of transferring control to and from the function code segment, a modified copy of the function body may be substituted directly for the function call. In this way, the performance overhead of a function call is avoided.

A function is declared inline by using the inline function specifier or by defining a member function within a class or structure definition. The inline specifier is only a suggestion to the compiler that an inline expansion can be performed; the compiler is free to ignore the suggestion.

The following code fragment shows an inline function definition.

inline int add(int i, int j) { return i + j; }

The use of the inline specifier does not change the meaning of the function. However, the inline expansion of a function may not preserve the order of evaluation of the actual arguments. Inline expansion also does not change the linkage of a function: the linkage is external by default. «less - See more at: http://www.urbanpro.com/c-language-questions/2402972#sthash.WMMwyCpF.dpuf «less

Inline function will very useful if your line of code is very less, it will improve the peformance as the function call is not there and cpu cycle consumption will be very less.

Pointer is used in C++. If you used the pointer efficiently then program will run fast with limited memory «less

The diamond problem occurs when two super classes of a class have a common base class. The class gets two copies of all attributes of the class, this causes ambiguities.virtual avoids this.

As opposed to non-virtual functions, the overridden behavior is preserved even if there is no compile-time information about the actual type of the class. If a derived class is handled using pointer or reference to the base class, a call to a overridden virtual function would invoke the behavior defined in the derived class. This behavior is suppressed if the function is selected using qualified name lookup (that is, if the function's name appears to the right of the scope resolution operator ::) «less

Both malloc() and calloc() are used in Dynamic memory allocation but the difference between them is -
malloc() does not initialize the memory allocated but calloc() initializes the allocated memory to zero.

A constructor is a special member function of a class which is initialized data member of that class and it is
called after create a object of that class. The name of constructor is same as the name of class. the access specifier of constructor must be public.it does not have any return type. it executes automatically.

A Constructor is a special member function which logically should initialize your class object fully, so that after completion of constructor call it is in sane state and preferably have no uninitialized members (depends on you, how you write it). It is automatically called at execution time when the memory for your object is allocated.

C++ is object oriented, C is NOT.
Like C++, there're other Object oriented programming languages, say, Java, C# etc.

C++ is easy to learn, for those who already knew C.
Wish you happy learning.

Most important is change in your thought process. Can you take your business needs, identify entities and map them to classes and encode the entity behavior as members. If not then C++ is better C with extras.
