both are same ,entire cource only two subjects are diffrent. in termes of placements both degrees are having equal prefrence

At first you have to find in which area you are intrested , on the basis of your intrest you have to choose branches of engineering like cse ,it, mechanical, eletrictal etc. This is the best way to choose the branches in engineering . CSE or IT does not matter .
