If you love the subject and want to enhance your core competency, M. Tech makes a good choice. You can do Ph.D. after M. Tech and settle for a research institute or college at an impressive salary scale.The only downside is the scope of applicability of your knowledge in the business. An MBA graduate gets exposure to different aspects of business management, right from HR and finance to marketing, unlike the M. Tech student; hence they find more room to play. However, the hitch is MBA is relatively easier than M. Tech, so most students go after management degree. read less

It depends on your areas of interest. As an engineer, u have already good technical skills. So if you want to develop your interpersonal skills as well then go for MBA because both skills are required nowadays.
