Confidence is the feeling that you can do what is required of you. That is possible only with health.

Do not confuse that with the belief that you can do anything, which is what some people claim.

If you feel you are lacking in confidence, then seek the help of someone who you trust. Then discuss the matter with them. They will guide you by asking the right set of questions to help build your own confidence. It is important to remember that only YOU can boost your confidence. Whatever others may do only supports it.

And finally beware of taking verbatim any advice that is given to you as steps 1, 2, 3 etc to gain confidence. There is no single solution applicable for everyone.

You have started the journey by posing the right question. Wish you all the best. «less

Personality is derived from latin word persona..meaning MASK...A mask that covers waht we are deeply inside..a mask that we develop to show who we are to the world. If there is a huge difference between what we are in and what we are out then we get unmasked. Hence a real personality develops whenw e understand what our psyche is made of internally, make inner shifts and then become natural

Attempt to manipulate human activity is both dangerous and often fruitless. But supporting one health ie. optimal health for Man, Animal and Nature (ie. harmony of body systems with environment) can be rewarding.
Sigmund Freud (1856-1939), a pioneer in the study of personality, developed some of the most influential theories in modern psychology and psychoanalysis. His division of the mind into the conscious and unconscious components has driven research on the brain into very specific directions. According to Freud every person is born with an instinct for crime (which he believes, buds out of desire to get what one wants). Normally a new born baby is brought up in an ambience of positivity. It has instinct driven demands for pleasure (a desire to remain in comfort zone). As it grows the child is moderated by frequent NoâÂ?Â?s /dontâÂ?Â?s as part of parenting. During schooling peers in class & community prepare them to understand how to match their own needs with that of others. This is the stage of personality forming or morality. Children born in some deprived social groups (Urchins, orphans or the rich living in isolation of public school regimen) grow without an opportunity to go through the stages of normal mental development aforementioned. As parenting and moderation may not reach them they struggle to fit themselves in the society. Consequently their Theory of Mind (ToM) may emerge different from mainstream society. «less

With the words of Peter Drucker and Warren Bennis - "Management is doing things right; Leadership is doing the right things", Mr. Covey very innovatively draws an example that leaders are the ones showing and paving the way, who climb up on the highest trees to tell the rest below whether they are in the right or the wrong jungle. Whereas, the Managers are the doers - ones doing the muscle work; arranging the workforce, making the necessary changes for going forward, bringing in the relevant technologies, tools, setting up working schedules and compensation program. «less

Body language is a reflection of your attitude and thoughts. Its about self projection... gestures and expressions changes with the situation and view point. For expl. if a person is not feeling comfortable on any topics being discussed he will fold his arms and if he find in interesting he will participate with open hands. Observe people, you will get better insight

0 0

Hemangi replied | 10/03/2015

Body languages can differ based on the upbringing and experience of an individual. eg. folded handed . in one place it means person is not ready for the action or revelation. But the same can also mean confidence. Body languages can differ based on countries and geographies. Hence, an overall study and understanding to interpret is required

Do practice for few days in your room/front of mirror. Once you have shed the shyness away, go out and speak expressively.
