Eligibility criteria for B.Com is either 12th pass or Diploma. If you have either, you can certainly do.

Depends on what career avenues you want to get in to, a fitter is more at the mechanical engineering side. Certainly there is no restriction in terms of applying to the B.Com program but do evaluate all options as it will be a complete change of stream.

May be you can further course in Mechanical engineering or do a parallel course in B.com or BBA. It will boost your chance in any company or even go work abroad they need such professionals, especially in Canada.
