I have experience in teaching C language in computer centres. Now, i am planning to start teaching online for the same. I am not sure how much I should charge? And in how many classes i should complete the syllabus. I live in Mumbai, if it helps.

Hi, For online coaching keep the charges of Rs. 300/hour or per assignment basis. Design your courses and have a clear idea how many classes you require for a particular course. Multiply those classes with Rs. 300/- . So, for 40 classes course you can charge between 10-15k.

For C language, you can charge Rs. 250-300/hour. Take 15-20 classes per month. Completion of the course depends upon your capability and student's understanding level. More programs should be given to solve to increase understanding.

Hi Aparna, it's a good idea to start coaching.You may need the following: I. Syllabus part:1. Begin with teaching the basics of computer and binary coding.2. Compiler Need and basics ( how it works, explain easily)3. Structure of C Program, Header files etc.4. Then you can go for, Tokens(alphabets of C Language), Operators, Expressions, Statements5. Branching & looping6. Arrays & Functions7. Strings, String handling Functions8. Structures & unions, Typedef9. Pointers10. File APIs ( FILE I/O: Opening, Reading, Writing, Closing files)You can further go for Data structures, which cover advanced concepts like Arrays, Stacks, Queues, Linked Lists, Trees, Graphs, etc. ( Which need all the basics) II. Charging/Fees Part1. Depends on area and demand2. You can charge between 5-6k/month for home tuitions . You may need to travel. Or you can charge 5k for students who come to your place.3. For online teaching, you can charge around Rs 6-7k ( you spend money on your internet, need to take care of this too).4. Depends on the number of students, if more then you can go for less cost per head if less, you can go for the previous pricing.5. Factors which affect pricing can be your Area, Demand, Your Experience and way of teaching, etc. Depends entirely on you how much you charge.6. If you have designed a particular course pattern or syllabus for students which covers entire C language, you can go for a Fixed Price for a fixed time duration, ex: Programming in C Complete Course for two months you can also charge around 12k-14k, depends on your expertise in C. Overall, it depends on how nicely you can pass your knowledge in C to students comfortably, can increase your income. So, better, you can start training.
