It includes two sections:
1. Letter/Application
2. Essay Writing.
Never wait to start preparation of Tier II after the result of TIER I.
If you think so, you are not confident of yourself and far from Toppers.
Tips for cracking TIER II
1. Start studying "The Editorial's column", The Hindu newspaper....  more»

-Mark all the important points and remember it.

Reading newspaper will be helpful but the you will not be able to remember words you read so it is important to practice those words by speaking among friends or to develop a writing habit making either short sentences or small paragraphs or stories. For Grammar you can use books like S. P. Bakshi and R.S. Aggarwal or Arihant publication books.

2. Learn the basic grammar rules.
3.Play with the words : The word has itself the meaning hidden.yes it is true if you thoroughly examine the word ,you will find the meaning in the word itself.
4. Refer the two books : Wren & Martin , S.P. Bakshi.
No need to refer too many books.
5. Give mock tests : It is must for competitive exam.
For English speaking
1. Talk to the people in English
2. Talk to foreigner on social websites.
3. Give speech on a single tope for 8-10 minutes.

Buy wren and martyn.. learn the basics. Read The Hindu regularly to learn english as wel as to learn current affairs. Go thru the previous year question papers. Attend numerous mock tests. Always keep the exam syllabus wit u in ur study table. All the best.

To learn any new thing does not require any scholar academics records , all thing required is smart work with the help of hard work , If you make your own suitable strategy i don't think so it would take more than 4 months to complete entire syllabus , but it depends upon you how much time you are giving per day and how much practice you do after completion of each...  more»

But apart from this thinking how much time i need , just analyse syllabus and make a planning to do uniformly everyday , you will be go in auto pilot mode where you are able to do what you want in desired time limit, just start up once. I have seen some of my friends who had cracked the exams without getting much time for it. All the very best for you future endeavor. «less

you are eligible. First of all work on simple arithmetic, algebra and squares by adopting vedic maths technique , improve your English by giving special emphasis on grammar. Work on GK. Solve past 9 years question papers within a stipulated time. Time is an important factor. Study all these daily 4-5 hours.
