Ravi Kulur Academy of Flutes

Ravichandra Kulur is an internationally acclaimed flutist, who was regarded as “ flute maestro” by the sitar legend Pandit Ravi Shankar. Ravi has performed more than 1200 concerts extensively around the globe in 32 countries, at venues ranging from Carnegie Hall in New York and the Disney Hall in Los Angeles to the Sydney Opera house in Australia and the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London with maestro Ravi Shankar and Anoushka Shankar .
Ravi has been part of many international music festivals including WOMAD in UK, Tff Rudolstadt , Womadelaide , Verbier , Paleo , Roskilde , Sfinks , Rainforest music fest in Malaysia and the San Francisco Jazz Festival, among others for his Solo, duet and numerous collaborations ranging from Indian Classical musicians , Jazz, Celtic musicians to huge Rock bands like Jethro Tull.
In 2016, Ravi joined A R Rahman for his popular Mtv unplugged session rendering his magic for some breathtaking tracks. These episodes were viewed by millions of music lovers across the globe. Ravi is also part of Rahman's live act.
Ravi has trained many flute students in Carnatic Classical style for more than 25 years now & some of them have become successful professionals and He has also given master classes for professional musicians in India, Europe and USA.
His unique method of engaging students with creative learning helps them to understand and perform better on this instrument.
The courses are personally charted for each student with multiple levels of learning.
