I teach Psychology as a full time faculty member at VIBGYOR High, Marathahalli, a leading CBSE school in Bengaluru, where I handle Class 11 and 12 Psychology end-to-end, from curriculum planning and daily instruction to internal assessments and board exam preparation. For Class 12 specifically, I have hands-on experience teaching all five units of the NCERT Psychology syllabus: Unit 1: Variations in Psychological Attributes (Intelligence, Aptitude, Personality) Unit 2: Self and Personality Unit 3: Meeting Life Challenges (Stress, coping, mental health) Unit 4: Psychological Disorders Unit 5: Therapeutic Approaches Unit 6: Attitude and Social Cognition Unit 7: Social Influence and Group Processes Unit 8: Psychology and Life Unit 9: Developing Psychological Skills I teach with a strong focus on board exam scoring strategy helping students understand which answers need definitions, which need diagrams, and how to structure 3-mark and 6-mark responses to maximise marks. I also use real-life examples and case studies to make abstract concepts like defence mechanisms, psychological disorders, and therapeutic approaches genuinely understandable rather than just memorised. Students I work with typically come in either confused by the theory-heavy nature of the subject or under-prepared for the application-based questions the CBSE board has increasingly favoured. I address both gaps systematically across sessions.
