A developer by profession but a teacher at heart, I am drawn to the potentials of the younger generation and how a little guidance can transform them into wholesome individuals. My main motive during a session with a child is to clear the basics and make him/her even a little bit more interested and curious in gaining knowledge compared to the previous session in a fun way. I have a Master's degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Calcutta and have been tutoring for the past 8 years.

I have more than 8 years of teaching experience in Maths, Science and computer applications across different boards. Being from computer engineering background, I am also proficient in teaching computer engineering subjects. I believe in making the students understand the basics, rather than cramming over the material. Professionally I work as a computer engineer in one of the reputed MNC in Bangalore.

In Class 8 children are mature to be exposed to advanced ideas and this is where I push them by introducing to tough problems. They might not be able to solve them but they have to be encouraged and told that even I had failed to solve them when I was given such questions when I was of their age. I also try to solve them a Maths question in as many different ways as possible so that they realize the inter-connectivity between different ideas and also realize that a Maths concept can be tackled by various methods but give them the freedom to solve the question as per the method they like. Also, giving real life examples is necessary so that they don't feel that Maths is a abstract subject.

I think anybody can teach but understanding how an individual understands, at what level the development of a student can take place is very important.During my experience I think it is relevant to connect with the student and be patient with him. Strengths- 1. I am patient 2. I take mistakes as levels of development 3. Communicative I believe that learning never ends and at this tender age the student needs someone he can communicate with and all my strengths will definitely help him achieve that.
