Though both are based on javascript, Angular is far more advanced than react considering the fact that it is backed by Google and Microsoft teams. Microsoft and Google collaboration is Angular 6 where it is entirely re-written in TypeScript.I suggest you first learn Basic javascript then go for Angular6 + TypeScript.Hope this answered your query read less
