Spring is something that is on the server side...AngularJS will be working on the client side..more on the user-facing side...Spring does not care if you use jQuery,AngularJS or EmberJs etc..or any other data binding framework on the client side/on the browser...Spring want the Java object and it understands...

Spring is something that is on the server side...AngularJS will be working on the client side..more on the user-facing side...Spring does not care if you use jQuery,AngularJS or EmberJs etc..or any other data binding framework on the client side/on the browser...Spring want the Java object and it understands only that...so when you use the http module of angularJS and send the data to server, you need to use Jackson mapper API or GSON api to convert JSON(javascript object) to POJO(Plain old Java Object) and then use it in your sever side code...then again once done...if you have to return something to the client side convert the POJO to JSON using above said tool and done. read less

AngularJS communicate with server using RESTFul web service. Data sent or receive in AngularJS application is in JSON format. So in you spring application you have to use RestController to build RESTFul web service which in response send your object in JSON format.
