The first thing to remember in a conflict is to maintain an equilibrium and calm! It is not a time to react but to respond (sensibly). Therefore, it is inevitable that you take some time to stop fuming by taking a few long breaths. After which, walk out of the space if possible. Gather your thoughts, this will help in thinking more reasonably and logically. Any haphazard decisions can lead to undesirable outcomes.
