It depends on your current status of Aptitude, Reasoning, Basic Vocabulary and Current affairs. It also depends on your self confidence but you should prepare yourself at least for 6-12 months.

As it contains GS paper too, so I suggest start reading news paper even if it sounds like everyone says/do that but remember one thing, there is no harm doing it. So why not? coming back to your question- it'll take around 2 and a half months for a simple general category student to crack SSC with good marks. Good luck. read less

To prepare for SSC is totally depend upon ones planning Time,devotion and interest.If studied properly with understanding the subjects and concepts of lessons, one can solve any complicated questions without any problems.The basic of lession for subject and summary to be understand and whatever you have read, it should remembered.Writing answers without seeing the answers build ones confidence. After complete reading and writing questions and answers from lessons one should focus attention to solve the questions and answers from last 3 to 5 years papers. Only number of months are not enough to prepare for SSC.Last movements more strain or stress on Mind or not sleeping at night is not advisable.It also require proper rest for mind and body. read less
